I have more than 15 years experience in machine learning and computational intelligence, both in academic and industrial environments. Over this period, I worked at many established research groups in China, Germany, Japan, and the United States where I designed and contributed to various state-of-the-art systems. The focus of my research has been on image processing, classification techniques, and information fusion. For pattern recognition and document processing, I frequently act as reviewer, program committee member, and conference chair. I’m holder and co-holder of two patents for handwriting recognition techniques. During the last three years I have been working on image processing and pattern recognition for biological applications.
